Position Summary
The Bilingual Certified Medical Assistant plays an essential role in delivering outstanding patient care while supporting providers throughout the patient visit. This position is responsible for preparing patients for examinations and procedures, assisting with interventional pain management treatments, maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating referrals, and ensuring the clinic operates efficiently each day.
This role also requires the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients in both English and Spanish, including assisting with patient education, instructions, forms, and communication throughout the visit.
This position requires flexibility to travel between our Oakwood (Gainesville), Lawrenceville, Cumming, and Marietta clinics as needed.

Essential Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Welcome and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients in both English and Spanish.
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medications, and allergies.
- Assist physicians and providers during examinations and procedures.
- Provide patient education and review discharge instructions in the patient's preferred language.
- Help ensure Spanish-speaking patients clearly understand their care, instructions, and next steps.
- Deliver every patient interaction with professionalism, compassion, and respect.
Clinical Support
- Prepare and maintain exam and procedure rooms.
- Assist with interventional pain procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards.
- Clean and reset rooms between patients to support clinic efficiency.
- Maintain clinical equipment and supplies.
Documentation & Coordination
- Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Ensure required questionnaires, consents, and documentation are complete.
- Assist English- and Spanish-speaking patients with forms and clinical instructions when needed.
- Coordinate imaging, therapy, specialist, and diagnostic referrals.
- Communicate professionally with patients, pharmacies, imaging centers, attorneys, and other healthcare partners.
Compliance & Operations
- Monitor inventory and medication expiration dates.
- Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and company policies.
- Help keep the clinic organized, efficient, and patient-focused.
- Look for opportunities to improve workflows and contribute to the overall success of the team.
Qualifications
Required
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Preferred
- Experience in personal injury, orthopedic, spine, neurology, or pain management.
- Experience assisting with interventional procedures.
- Phlebotomy and injection experience.

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Travel between Oakwood (Gainesville), Lawrenceville, Cumming, and Marietta clinics as needed.
